Idaho Botanical Garden

The Garden’s expansion project promises to bring substantial benefits to the populations it serves. Key elements of the plan include the development of an Education and Visitor Center Building, which will enhance the ability to offer low-cost programs, provide community amenities, and serve as a year-round educational resource. Additionally, 4.6 acres of new gardens will support various programs, including a Horticultural Therapy Garden, Teaching Vegetable Garden, outdoor kitchen, and Arboretum Education Center, expanding outreach efforts. The introduction of a year-round Farmers Market Pavilion and Food Hub will support local farmers, provide fresh food access to low-income families, and generate revenue through rentals, promoting sustainability. Furthermore, a dynamic outdoor event venue will host performances, cultural events, and private functions, fostering community collaboration and engagement.
